Gammy's Garden Goodies- Convenient Containers- Recycling in the Garden

Save large mouth plastic containers such as a plastic coffee containers, to disinfect your garden tools between cuts and immediately after working on or near an infected plant by dipping the tools in container filled with alcohol or bleach and then rinsing in clean water. Seal for next use.

For many years, I have cut the top off of large plastic "handle" container for another use in my garden.

Gaylord Ice Sculptures

If you haven't seen the ice sculptures at the Texas Gaylord resort, you're missing out. The exhibits are hand-carved from two million pounds of ice by visiting artisans from Harbin, China.

To keep the "pieces of art" from thawing, the exhibit rooms are kept at a chilly 7 degrees. Don't worry though, you're provided with parkas to keep warm.

Galveston

The Lone Star Bike Rally in Galveston, TX, referred to as the Galveston Bike Rally, is the largest bike rally in Texas and is held on Galveston Island just south of Houston.

The Galveston Bike Rally was postponed twice this year, (it was held 12/11/2008 to 12/14/2008 due to hurricane Ike), but was still a tremendous success. Attractions at the Galveston Bike Rally included live music, racing, tattoo contest, demo rides, poker runs, Miss Lone Star contest and much more!

I've only ridden on a bike a couple times in my life and never been referred to as a "Biker Babe"...until now. What a BLAST!!
